The Income Tax Department is cracking down on certain premises belonging to Hero MotoCorp Chairman Pawan Munjal and other senior heads of the organization to evade suspicious tax.

Sources in the Income Tax Department said Mr Munjal’s workplaces and private premises in Gurugram, Haryana, Delhi and barely any other area are being covered.

He said a group of office bearers were keeping an eye on the monetary archives and other deals of the organization and advertisers.

Income Tax Department sources said, “Search is being directed at Hero MotoCorp Chairman Pawan Munjal premises. More than two dozen premises of Hero MotoCorp and its senior leaders are also being searched. Search on suspicion of tax evasion. and seizure activity,” sources in the Income Tax Department said.

Legend MotoCorp has detailed a critical 29 percent fall in complete wholesales in February. The auto organization sold 3,58,254 units as against 5,05,467 units in the comparing time of last year, as per an organization articulation.

Homegrown deals were additionally down 31.57 percent at 3,31,462 units last month contrasted with 4,84,433 units in February 2021.
